David A. Clark, MA

David is the founder of Communicating Couples. His passion for teaching, coaching, and tutoring come alive when he works with couples. He believes that teaching couples key communication, problem solving, and relationship maintenance skills improves relationship satisfaction and enriches the lives of families now and in the future.
His study of interpersonal relationships in the family and workplace as well as his versed professional and personal background enable him to connect with a wide and diverse audience. He was an instructor for Relationship Skills Center from 2012 to 2015, where he became certified to teach Mastering the Mysteries of Love, and also taught Together We Can and Love Notes. He has also taught classes as a guest lecturer at California State University, Sacramento and Yuba College. He earned a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Sacramento and studied American Culture in the American Workplace while an undergraduate at University of California, Berkeley. He is a veteran of the US Navy, and has traveled 5 of 7 continents.
When not teaching formally, David works as a Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern providing service to couples and individuals in private practice and non-profit settings. For information about his counseling services, click here.

William "Billy" Schult

Billy is a co-founder of communicating couples. The focus of his passion is working with couples to strengthen, re-experience and build trust with one another. He views your work together to be especially reliant upon creating an environment where safety is ensured so partners can begin to heal and admire one another through acceptance and compassion.
Carolyn Curtis, PhD

Carolyn Curtis, PhD is our Master Trainer. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of the Relationship Skills Center. The Relationship Skills Center was recognized as one of the leading organizations in the nation in building healthy relation- ships, and was awarded two Healthy Marriage federal grants. Dr. Curtis spoke at the White House regarding the success of their program and received a Presidential Point of Light Award. In her clinical practice, she specialized in working with couples, alcohol abuse and trauma and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
